SMT HaliliFascial Release

Clínica SMT · Campinas, Brazil

Meeting and treating pain with presence.

The home of the SMT Halili method in Campinas: light touch, sustained positioning, and attentive presence with every complaint.

“We don’t force: we facilitate the body’s healing process.”

Systemic Manual Therapy is a subtle and pain-free method that uses the fascia as a “gateway” to communicate with the body. The goal is to desensitize an overactive central nervous system, “stuck” in fight-or-flight mode, a condition associated with chronic pain in different regions of the body.

Central sensitization

Calming a nervous system on alert

In many chronic pain conditions, the problem is not only where it hurts, but in a central nervous system that has become “stuck” in a state of alert. This is central sensitization.

The scientific model behind it was developed by Dr. Adi Halili and published in an international journal. Clínica SMT is the home of this method in Brazil, and our work is to apply it with the same care with which it was conceived: subtle touch, at the body’s pace, to help the nervous system leave fight-or-flight mode.

We don’t force: we facilitate the body’s healing process.

Evidence

Evidence-based clinical practices

Demonstrating the efficacy of therapeutic treatments is a common difficulty in physical therapy, and a major challenge for the field. Learn how SMT Halili measures and tracks its results, and the strength of the evidence behind each number.
